Life should finally be slowing down around the Mustain household. After nearly 16 months of planning and preparation my sister Joy and Caleb are now married. The ceremony was at 4:00 on June 23rd at Valley Ranch Baptist Church. Although my opinion is a little biased, it was a brilliant ceremony and I have been told by many that it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended.
I served as a groom’s man, I escorted my mom in, I played Pachelbel’s Cannon in D as Joy walked down the isle, I sang the worship song “One Desire” with Shay Dixon, and I played the country hit by Keith Urban “Making Memories of Us” (It was Joy and Caleb’s song). Katelyn served as Joy’s maid of honour and my dad officiated the second portion of the wedding and the exchanging of the wedding vows.
It was so cool to share this special event with so many family members, new friends, and old friends. We had family come in from Tennessee, South Carolina, friends come in from New York and Georgia, all to help us celebrate this special time for Joy and Caleb.
Our house was like a revolving door with all the friends and family stopping in for a visit, staying the night, dropping off a gift etc. I think we are all looking forward to a little down time this week. Other highlights of the weekend were the bachelor’s party of golf, wings, and the casino up in Oklahoma on Thursday, the rehearsal dinner, of course the wedding, and the 10 inning Rangers/Astro’s game Sunday night.
In the up coming week’s I’ll be quite busy as well. My dad and I are going down to Houston on Sunday to visit Ecclesia Church (http://www.ecclesiahouston.org/) on Sunday night and catch an Astros/Phillies game at Minute Maid Park on Monday. I’ll be up in Norman again July 3-10 to be in a friend’s wedding on July 4th and to play and speak at Generations Church on July 8th. I’m also looking forward to going to Grand Lake with the new in-laws towards the end of July before heading out to Arizona with Katelyn to go to the Grand Canyon and an Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game. This is all happening before I head back to England on August 1st.
As you can tell, I have a busy 5 weeks ahead of me. My biggest need is prayer that my England Visa will be approved. I applied last week and I will hopefully hear back in the next few days if I have been approved or not. I trust that God will be faithful in this small matter in his overall big plan for what he is doing in England.
My support raising is also going well. I am still in need of just a few hundred dollars each month so if you are interested in joining with me in God’s work in England, please leave a comment or email me at [email protected].
Over the past week I have been continually reminded of God’s love and faithfulness not only to me but also to the entire Mustain family. I am so thankful and blessed to have such wonderful friends and family.
All Glories and Honours to the Famous One,
Chaddington
